Amazing Fishing
We can recommend some excellent fishing charters in the area. Bait, tackle and everything else you'll need is supplied. Your guide will take you to the best spots and clean and fillet your fish for you - you just catch 'em and bring 'em home to chuck on the BBQ!
All popular species are abundant in these waters - whether you'd like to go bottom fishing, big game fishing (hunting the huge marlin and broadbill), take an overnight trip (including supreme dawn and dusk fishing) or a day trip. It's fishing bliss.
For the less experienced (or for those without boats) there is great harbour fishing ten minutes away at Whangaroa and excellent beach or rock fishing right here. Kids will love the excitement of catching their own fish.
We even have our own 'Hole in the Rock'!
Boat Launching
Popular Whangaroa Harbour is a short ten minute drive away where you will find boat ramps, a weigh-in centre (and a great kiwi pub!).
There are also full marina facilities at Whanagaroa - we are happy to organise this on your behalf when you book your stay with us.
